According to Reid, Ronda first caught his eye at church with just a smile. They dated for about a year before Reid planned a romantic proposal on the beaches of Corolla at the Outer Banks while they were vacationing with Ronda's family. Ronda and Reid knew that they would have their wedding ceremony at the Wake Forest Baptist Church on the historic Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary campus. Afterwards, they joined about 175 of their family and friends for a fun-filled reception in the TPC ballroom. Guests dined on an hors d'oeuvres menu that included carved turkey breast with a cranberry-orange marmalade, a selection of pastas, and buffalo chicken spring rolls and the couples' friends' many children provided a lot of extra entertainment in addition to the dancing. Many of the guests remained at the end of the day to send the happy couple off in a TPC golf cart surrounded by bubbles.
