Pete Dye designs are recognized as some of golf's finest championship courses. His genius was seen early in his career when the Cardinal opened in 1975 as one of the area's most-challenging layouts, a reputation that certainly continues today. The 2007 restoration of the course, completed by Mr. Dye himself, provides a longer challenge, yet retains the Cardinal's unique and demanding qualities. It covers over 140 acres of scenic property and includes two lakes and winding creeks.
Inscribed on a plaque at Hole #12 from Pete Dye – “the hardest par 3 I ever designed”
